This antique Moroccan red glass, enamel and silver pendant started out as a fibula and has since been transformed into this beautiful and rare pendant.
From the Ait Ouaouzguit region of Morocco which is known for its sophisticated silversmiths and use of beautiful enamel, this fibula is at least 80 years old.
Granulated silver details with just a few areas of the original light blue and saffron yellow enamel remaining. Large deep red glass cabochon in center displays a crack which gives a wonderful sense of history and character.
I decided to just feature this piece on a simple chain as the beauty of this pendant speaks for itself. The snake chain is sterling silver from India and features an end that unscrews.
A one of a kind pendant necklace to treasure.
